Our Bed & Breakfast is located inside the ancient walls of Vicenza, the city where Palladio was born and part of the Unesco patrimony, with buildings from the 400s.
Portico Rosso is well-positioned within the city, easy walking to key attractions; only 10 minutes from the train station, the main Corso Palladio and Piazza dei Signori, the main square. It is also a very short walk to Teatro Comunale and S. Bortolo Hospital. Within a 15 minute car ride is the famous Villa Rotonda, Palladio’s masterpiece, the exhibition center and the Basilica on Mt. Berico.
Our home is an ancient palazzo that has been in the family for a century. It was renovated with care to show the structure and the ancient materials and blends design and originality. The rooms are wide with large windows and balconies that look into the enclosed garden where you can relax and have breakfast from April to October, as weather permits. Smoking inside is not allowed.
On the 2nd floor there is a wide master bedroom with an abundance of natural light and a small balcony to the garden

This is the room where Paolo Valmarana lived for many years. He belonged to a prestigious family from Vicenza and the uncle of Lucia, the current owner.

To start your day, a intimate breakfast is provided including the very best of typical Italian and Vicentinian products.
Breakfast is served in the dining room or in the garden, as weather permits.
